(About)

I'm Joe, I develop websites and software that feel great to use, reliable and fit your needs. Built by code in the heart of Lancashire.

Lancashire

I grew up in Lancashire and started writing code at sixteen. Small websites at first, then little tools for things I wanted to fix. It didn't take long to work out this was the job I wanted.

York

I studied Interactive Media at the University of York, learning the fundamental skills of programming and algorithms. I had the privellege of working with a range of technologies and frameworks and exploring multiple disciplines within the field.

(Services)

01

Websites

Sites that look considered and hold up in the browser. Built to ship, not to sit in a file.

02

Applications

Web apps and tools shaped around how people actually work, with the reliability already in.

03

Maintenance

Keep what you have patched, monitored and moving, without a rebuild you did not ask for.

04

AI integrations

Practical AI in the products you already run. Useful where it earns its place, not bolted on.

(Approach)

How a project actually goes

Four steps, close to the people who will use it. No theatre, no dump-and-run.

  1. 01Listen
  2. 02Shape
  3. 03Build
  4. 04Maintain
  1. (01)Step 0104

    Listen

Sit with the problem before the stack. Who uses it on Monday, what must not break, and what a rebuild would waste.

    • Discovery call
    • Constraints mapped
    • Plain-English brief
  2. (02)Step 0204

    Shape

Structure, screens and the edges. The work is to make the product feel obvious, then choose the tools that can carry it.

    • Flows & sitemap
    • Key screens
    • Stack decision
  3. (03)Step 0304

    Build

Laravel, Next.js, TypeScript, the boring reliable bits. Shipped to a real browser, not left in a file.

    • Weekly staging
    • Real-browser testing
    • Clean handover
  4. (04)Step 0404

    Maintain

Patch, monitor, keep it moving. I do not disappear at launch. Maintenance is part of the job, not an afterthought.

    • Patches & updates
    • Room to grow
